My expertise is a beautiful mix of fashion and philanthropy for companies and causes I believe in, fueling me to be all the more ambitiously experimental in every word I write. My career began as a journalist for my local paper where I was hired as a reporter at age 17. Since then, my work has been featured online and in print internationally in major magazines, books, blogs, brands, and my own various projects.

As a fashion journalist, I won Fashion Blog of the Year Award at Seattle's Metroplitan Fashion Week for an interview series
I founded and authored, syndicated by The Seattle Times. I also spent a Year of Service in Americorp, helping families receive homes through Habitat for Humanity

At age 17, I fought stage IVB cancer, the experience of which continues to shape both the way I live and the way I write. I continually strive to better the lives of others, including survivors, through advocacy, public speaking, and my own personal stories. Because the written word is my one true love, my stories are deeply personal, candid and organic, always true to the grit it takes to be an authentic human being.
